Brendan waited all summer for this. To be a Full Day Child. In Brendan’s multi-age classroom children are (typically, though with some exceptions)- half day children when they are three, full day children when they are four and “the seniors” or kindergartners when they are five. Brendan knew that once he turned four he would be a full day child and could not wait. What happened when the little kids left? Since he turned four only two week after school ended in June, well, lets just say, its been a long summer.
In addition to the excitement of staying at school for lunch and an afternoon work period, there are now activities that Brendan can participate in- namely yoga and karate. He has been so excited about all the new “big kid” things he can do!
