For a month both the kids have been wearing “kid power band” – basically FitBits. Â Their steps translated to points and more points led to sponsors donating food to kids in need through UNICEF. It also became a friendly competition.
Of all the 3rd-5th grade classes, Brendan’s class had the most points. They got to celebrate with nine other top classes from Boston Public at a fun day organized by John Hancock- an event leading up to the marathon. And they got to meet Meb Keflezighi, 2014 winner of the Boston Marathon!
Here’s a video of Meb playing a game with Bren’s class!
