Random conversations…

Here are some recent Facebook updates.  Classics.  All of them.

Chris O’Brien On the way home Aidan wanted to talk about different ways of making art. He went through the standards: painting, coloring, wood, etc. Then he says “wacky painting, you know like Jackson Pollock.” Then he fell asleep cause he’s 5.

Nicole Pascarelli O’Brien Update to Aidan’s Jackson Pollack conversation (posted by Chris O’Brien)- “This is something I learned when I was 3, its not something new.”

Dear Neighbors, My apologies for the blood curdling screaming you most likely heard at 7am. My independent, “spirited” and strong willed 2.9 year old did not want to wear pants. He would prefer to be a ballerina and ballerinas don’t wear pants. You will be happy to know the adults prevailed (this time)–but only because he was told his friends could not come over if he did not wear pants. Sincerely, Nicole

My dear loving child, After our morning of craziness did you really need to ask my why I didn’t slam the breaks on at the red light I didn’t see because of the truck in front of me? I appreciate you quoting traffic laws the whole.way.to.school– but I did pass drivers ed. And telling me you father never does that is just blatant lying and brainwashing. Love you lots, Mom.

Aidan was talking about “noons” on the way home, I wasn’t understanding. “You know, naming words. There are also prepositions, verbs, adjectives. It’s parts of speech, Mom.” Of course it is my dear five year old.
