World Champions

After the Red Sox won the Division, I wrote this.  I was- along with most of the city, state and a good part of the country perhaps- hoping for the Cinderella ending.  I even expressed to anyone who would listen that the Red Sox needed to win in 6 games- at home.  And it happened.  I still get teary reading articles and columns.  Everyone’s comments echo my sentiments.

Two days later we joined with a million of our closest friends to celebrate our team and our city.  The rolling rally of duck boats stopped at the marathon finish line.  We were a few blocks away.  It was a perfect fall day.  We got in town early and had time to walk around and enjoy the day.  And we celebrated!

Trick or Treat

IMG_5126Halloween was a multi day celebration this year.  In addition to the school Halloween party (Aidan- Ghostbuster, Bren- Merida) there was also Halloween Karate Movie Night for Aidan (Harry Potter) with his very good friend (remember this post?), Castle Island’s Mystery Walk through the Castle (Aidan- Ghostbuster, Bren- Merida), a friend’s party for Bren (Merida again) and then actual Trick or Treat.

It’s a good thing the kids like dressing up!
