Musical Concerts

We are very lucky that the kids have such great exposure to music through school and outside school activities. We were sure to include musical activities when they were younger and its great to see that they have continued.

Aidan had his spring music concert at Latin School. He plays the trombone in the 7th grade band. This year the concert honored alum Leonard Bernstein on his 100th birthday. Here are links to his performances.

Brendan had his show choir concert, he is in Junior Show Choir.

We love seeing the boys perform and hope music continues to be part of their lives.

Brendan’s early birthday present

Bren woke up on the Wednesday of April vacation to a big surprise- balloons and a gift bag. In the gift bag was a shirt “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink.” That was how he found out he would be going to New York for the day to see Mean Girls with Chris.

Chris ordered pink sneakers for himself and watched the movie to prepare. They took the bus and arrived for the matinee. A friend arranged a surprise backstage tour after the show as well! Bren had an awesome day!

Aladdin

It doesn’t matter how many stages Brendan is on or shows he is in, performing on his school stage, with his friends and for his friends is truly special. This year’s show was Aladdin and he loved every minute of it.

During one of the performances – the one the middle school kids were attending – Jasmine’s wig came off. She kept going and he made a joke of it. And those kids gave the biggest ovation. It was something special.

We say over and over again how lucky we are to have a school so committed to the arts. Brendan is a very lucky kid. All the Condon kids are.

Student Share was another opportunity to share a favorite song, their choice was Friend Like Me. I was coordinating it and Chris and Aidan were doing audio backstage. It was a family affair!
