Summer Fun!

In between the cruise to Bermuda, the trip to Seattle and summer camp, we also had time for summer fun locally.

The Science Behind Pixar opened at the Museum of Science. It was really cool! We loved learning more about what goes into making some of our favorite movies.

One place we recently discovered was Jordan’s Furniture’s Beantown. The kids love the ropes course! And there is a zip line!

Pool days with the Parisi’s are a must!!

We visited Legoland and saw the whole city built with legos including MIT!

York Beach is on our summer to do list every year. It’s even better when we go with friends!

That time we decided five minutes before the concert to go see Idina Menzel….

Seattle

Our friend James who went to college with Chris, moved to Seattle a few years ago to work for Amazon. Not too long moving there he met Katie Jo. They decided to get married and invited us to Seattle to celebrate their wedding.

IMG_9758We arrived on Thursday and after naps and lunch (or whatever meal it was), we went to Wicked! Brendan was so excited (and how cool that the national tour was in Seattle when were were!).

On Friday we went to the Museum of History and Innovation. The kids loved it! We also walked around and saw Pike’s Place.IMG_9805

Then on Saturday we went to the Space Needle and the awesome playground next to the Space Needle. We found out our friend (and Bren’s dance teacher), Rene was in Seattle and got to see her at lunch! Katie Jo’s family hosted a dinner and then we saw a parade!

The wedding was on Sunday and was very nice. The kids enjoyed themselves and it was a great time! They got to see the movie Minions before we left.

It was an awesome long weekend and such a fun time celebrating with friends!

Boston to Bermuda, Party of 19

IMG_2926Last year the kids loved our family vacation to London. More than once they mentioned how they wished that the next vacation we could invite more of our family and friends. So this year we let everyone know what our plan was- to take a cruise to Bermuda. Our group ended up including 19 friends and family.

The ship was amazing- we had a “penthouse” with lots of space for all of us (and a balcony so that Bren could sing). There were lots of activities and delicious food too.

The highlight was Bermuda. We loved the pink sand and clear water. We also loved out tour of the Crystal Caves.

IMG_9481It was a fun and relaxing vacation – different from the adventure of last summer. But what made it the most fun was enjoying it with friends and family.
