Aladdin (again)

Since Brendan was participating in Richard III, he missed out on Studio 3 at Boston Children’s Theatre. The idea of missing a summer at BCT did not sit well with Brendan. So he asked if he could participate in Studio 2- the two week program from kids ages 8-12 years old.

Like all theater that he does, it does not matter how big or small the stage and production or how new or experienced the cast, it’s all performing for him.

The show was Aladdin – again. He did Studio 2 Aladdin at BCT a few summers ago and was Abu. He did the show at the Condon and was Aladdin. He did the show at 4th Church and was Aladdin.

This time was different – he was Jasmine. And boy did he enjoy that!

Dinners alone

For the second summer, our kids have “jobs” and often have evening commitments or are out with friends.

This means dinners alone. At adult restaurants. With adult conversations.

As much as I hate that they are getting older and are becoming more independent, I do enjoy date nights when we can! AND I got to enjoy my favorite summer tradition – Barking Crab steamers!
