The day after my beautiful and smart godchild MaryKate turned 16 she went to get her learner’s permit. She needed an available adult and I was certainly happy to oblige. I can’t believe it’s a little more than six months and she’s now going for her license! And she got it! Look out world! She’s on the road!! (and growing up way too soon)
We started on a room redesign in the boys’ room this fall. We got rid of the baby border and they chose a new color to paint the walls. The next step were new beds, designed and built by our friend Nick. The plan was two loft beds with personal space for each of them under their bed. They came out awesome!!!
Brendan has been attending Boston Children’s Theatre classes, camps and shows for years. He considers everyone at BCT his family. And we can certainly see why. He has had another fantastic year of classes, a main stage show and his first year of Junior Show Choir. This past weekend was the Spring Concert. It was hard to not be emotional watching such talented and nice kids. They genuinely love each other like family- they celebrate each other’s accomplishments and joys (like proms!). There are amazing leaders and great role models. Most importantly they treat Brendan as their friend and we couldn’t ask for better friends for him!
