Updating the “quote book” with some recent faves-<\/p>\n
Aidan was asking Brendan why he liked so many “girl” toys (Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Ponies, Barbies, etc).
\nBrendan responded, “Because I like girls and that is what girls play with.”
\nMaybe he is smarter than we think…<\/p>\n
“I wish he had an off switch,” -Aidan talking about Brendan at 6:30am.<\/p>\n
Yesterday at the movie theater we were in line to get treats. Aidan kept looking back and forth between two displays on snacks. When it was his turn in line I told him to let the girl know what he wanted.
\n“Could I please have Junior Mints- but the ones in that case not this one because over there they are $4 and here they are $4.25. I would like the $4 ones please.”<\/p>\n
We were at the park yesterday afternoon and the kids were playing in a group. I saw Bren talking to an older girl (maybe 8). He came running over and whispered, “She doesn’t know my name.” So I told him to introduce himself. His response- “I tried to but she said ‘I don’t care.’ But mom I think she should care!”<\/p>\n
According to Brendan there is a camp rule that was made just for him, “No kissing teachers.”<\/p>\n
Brendan asked Nana for two “Papa treats” (Dibs chocolate covered ice cream bites). Then he went back to ask for two more. He did this because, “I need to know a number. I need to know what 2 + 2 is,” according to Maureen. Nana gave in. Anything for math.<\/p>\n
“I see the Eiffel Tower!”. No Bren that is just a cell tower, but good try.<\/p>\n
Brendan comes running into the kitchen with purpose-
\nB- “Mom what are you doing?!”
\nMe- “Washing the dishes.”
\nB- “Why are you doing that? It’s a boy job!”
\nMe- “Dad went to work early, I can do it.”
\n…B- “Me and Aidan can do it for you. It’s a boy job!”
