Our general rule for Trick or Treating is the costume must be one that can be layered. \u00c2\u00a0We have\u00c2\u00a0had cold Halloweens and very warm ones. Sometimes you need a turtleneck, sometimes shorts. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_7489.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1879\" src=\"http:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_7489-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7489\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_7489-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_7489-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_7489-1024x1024.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year they decided to go with a Back to the Future theme. \u00c2\u00a0Aidan was Doc Brown, Bren was Marty McFly.<\/p>\n<p>But Bren&#8217;s obsession with Wicked lately (since London) could not be squashed. \u00c2\u00a0So he decided he wanted to be Elphaba from Wicked for his school party. \u00c2\u00a0We practiced with the green face paint in advance and then at Bren&#8217;s urging made a video. \u00c2\u00a0Because in addition to his obsession with Wicked, he is also obsessed with You Tube videos about Wicked. \u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qkEU9eCp77M&amp;list=UUFdqDe555mKgypqvnku4wFg\">Here is his video.<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 He got rave reviews, especially from his theater friends.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1880 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_1897-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1897\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_1897-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/IMG_1897-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Aidan decided to be Dr. Who. \u00c2\u00a0This is his favorite new obsession- to watch episodes with Chris. \u00c2\u00a0He wanted to be the 10th doctor, complete with suit and red Converse sneakers. \u00c2\u00a0He looked so old! \u00c2\u00a0Not many kids knew who he was for the party, but a lot of adults got a good laugh!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Halloween is one of our favorite holidays and we usually go big. \u00c2\u00a0The kids think there needs to be a theme and we have now resorted to multiple costumes to fit the occasion.
