{"id":1348,"date":"2013-10-02T19:37:04","date_gmt":"2013-10-02T23:37:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/?p=1348"},"modified":"2013-10-02T19:37:04","modified_gmt":"2013-10-02T23:37:04","slug":"the-jungle-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/?p=1348","title":{"rendered":"The Jungle Book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aidan and Brendan were both in the spring performance of the Jungle Book. \u00c2\u00a0The loved the show and had lots of fun. \u00c2\u00a0It was a no brainer that when the show came to Boston, we would go see it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_4871.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1349\" alt=\"IMG_4871\" src=\"http:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_4871-300x300.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_4871-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_4871-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.obriensr.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_4871-1024x1024.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What I forgot was that the show was set in India. \u00c2\u00a0The colors, music and costumes reflected what we experienced less than a year ago. \u00c2\u00a0They made so many connections and loved the show. \u00c2\u00a0There was a line that mentioned Udipur- they realized right away that they were there! \u00c2\u00a0At one point during the show giant hand appear with henna designs- it took us all right back to India.<\/p>\n<p>I knew the trip made an impact. \u00c2\u00a0It certainly did on me. \u00c2\u00a0But to have it continually come back in ways large and small is amazing. \u00c2\u00a0I love that we had that experience. \u00c2\u00a0And I love that the kids took it in too. \u00c2\u00a0I can&#8217;t wait for more adventures.<\/p>\n<p>And the play was amazing too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aidan and Brendan were both in the spring performance of the Jungle Book. \u00c2\u00a0The loved the show and had lots of fun. \u00c2\u00a0It was a no brainer that when the show came to Boston, we would go see it.
